Position Overview
Chemists at the Department of the Interior analyze the effects of chemicals in the environment and conduct tests to detect and identify chemical substances in water, soil, and other natural materials.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and can apply their knowledge of chemistry in a team setting through clear communication with others.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office or laboratory and occasionally in the field.
