Position Overview

DOI Criminal investigators, Inspectors and uniformed Law Enforcement Rangers protect land and wildlife through careful and critical inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance work. They protect against wrongdoing on public lands, like stealing timber, setting fires, drug smuggling, dumping hazardous materials, or vandalizing recreational areas.

Candidate Description

The ideal candidate is inquisitive, careful and detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal and writing skills. She or he takes the responsibility for protecting life and property by upholding laws very seriously.

Work Environment

Both indoors in an office setting, and outdoors in public lands areas which may be remote or with rough terrain with challenging environmental conditions
